Summer in Revelstoke
Revelstoke is a small scenic town surrounded by three mountain ranges. It only has 8.500 residents but is full of backcountry camping trips, RV stops and recreational adventures. In the summer the city’s swimming lake, Williamsons Lake, offers a close place to camp and swim. Paddleboards and rowboats are available for rent. Martha Creek campground is a place to launch your boat for great trout fishing and is thirty minutes up the Big Bend Highway. At Martha Creek, there are beaches and hiking trails in the area’s most spectacular scenery. The Revelstoke Campground, the former KOA, has full hookups and quiet wooded sites on a convenient location near town off the Trans-Canada Hwy.

Winter In Revelstoke
Winter RVing is possible for those wanting to ski at the Revelstoke Mountain Resort. They offer one free night of RV camping when you register at the Sutton Hotel. The Canada West Campground is open all year.
Revelstoke is most famous for its beautiful national parks. Mount Revelstoke is one of the most readily accessible parks, just off the No. 1 Highway. It’s a great stop to really see the beauty of the Columbia Valley. The 26 km road is paved all the way to the top. The elevation is 2,000 meters. Viewpoints of Revelstoke all along the way. Meadows in The Sky is a great afternoon walk in alpine wildflowers, a 2km trail to the summit from the parking lot. For full-day hikes, there are Jade and Eva Lake trails.
Stop into the tourist office on the main road downtown for maps and information about mountain biking, bird watching, hiking and street entertainment or visit the Revelstoke website.
